Monitoring of the Inverness-Dingwall gas pipeline revealed a pit 0.5m diameter by 150mm deep contining calcined bone, coarseware pottery and charcoal.
J Wordsworth, 1992. <1>

A pit, clearly reflecting some prehistoric activity in the vicinity, was recorded on the route of the Inverness to Dingwall pipeline. Initially the discovery of calcined bone led to the assumption this was a cremation pit. However the quantity was not large and this may just be domestic debris. <2>
