Full Description
A small rectangular building has been built into E side of a knoll immediately E of track to Cille Mhuire. It measures 4.1m from E to W by 2.9m transversely within roughly dressed, coursed stone walls 1m in thickness and NW gable, which is still intact, is only 1.3m in max height.
Along top of NE wall is a series of stones set at an angle, presumably to support a wooden roof. This building may have been a boathouse, but is a little far from the loch.
On top of knoll is a low grass-grown bank, 0.5m high and spread to 0.7m which forms an open-sided enclosure. The enclosure is sub-circular with an overall diameter of 6.7m; the open side is to E. This bank may be related to partial demolition of possible boathouse. W of building and to N of fence there is a series of quarry scoops amongst trees. An apron of stone clearance has been heaped up to SE of building, and immediately E of this, a drain runs across the contours on a curvilinear course from the farmstead (NH57NW 8.4).
