NH87SW 3 82 72.
Downy Well, in Nigg parish was resorted to in May to drink the water and then cross by a narrow neck of land, called the 'Brig of a'e Hair' to Downy Hill - a green headland in the sea.

No further information. Visited by OS (A A) 20 September 1972.
The names Downy Hill and Downy Well are not known locally. There is faint possibility that this is a duplication with Tobar na Sliante at NH 8554 7376.
