Full Description
Coast battery 9.2/6 WWI & WWII - NH 8195 6892 - The 1st World War and 2nd World War gun ermplacements, magazines, BOP's and other structures are extant. Searchlights below. Two 9.2 inch guns during WWI manned by the Navy. During WWII 2 x 6 inch Mk.VII guns on Mk. V mountings installed by May 1940. Replaced by 2 x 6 inch Mk. XXIV guns in April 1943. Removed November 1956.
Radar Observation Post - NH 8285 6980 - Observation Post which had a radar gantry over the top, engine room behind. Photos.
Coast battery 4 inch WWI - NH 8130 6871 - The four gun emplacements and magazines are extant. A reveted hole was the site of an engine room, it is now full of old barbed wire. This battery was only armed during WWI with 4 x 4 inch QF guns manned by the Navy. Photos.

There are two groups of buildings at the edge of the cliff, deeply set in concrete which held various calibres of guns. The site was used both in the First and Second World Wars.
