Full Description
'Two Roman copper coins' - from the description apparently a second brass of Augustus, struck by Tiberius (AD14-37) and a second brass of Nero (AD. 54-68) - were found 'on the site of the Bishop's Palace' (NH75NW 9) in what was in 1853 the garden of Lt. Colonel MacLean, at Fortrose.
They were donated to NMAS by Queen's Remembrancer in 1853.

Possiblity of 2 sites for the Bishop's Palace where the coins were found. NH 7244 5648 or NH7256 5651.
