Full Description

A shieling comprising a crescent- shaped mound with two depressions, on the bank of the burn. The mound measures 15m E-W by 7m across and 0.4m high, and is covered with heather, grass and moss.

As described. Surveyed at 1:10,000. Visited by OS 17 March 1982.

A shieling with similar dimensions was noted to be 70m south by RoCAS in a 2012 DBA and walkover survey on behalf of the Forestry Commission Scotland. This may be the same site. See MHG56010.
