Full Description

At NH 7220 7509 is a well-preserved hut circle (OS {MSR} 12 March 1973) (Detail shown but not annotated on OS 6" (Prov) 1959). It measures 12.0m in diameter within a wall varying between 1.1m and 1.3m wide. The inner wall face of contiguous stones on edge, some of them unusually large boulders, is well-preserved, and the outer face can be seen occasionally. The mutilated entrance is in the SE arc. There are a few overgrown stone clearance heaps and walls, probably from contemporary cultivation plots, to the NW.
