Mid Ross Local Plan, Oct 1990: P23/3.25. POLICY - The Council considers that Tulloch Castle would be suitable for flats, offices, an hotel or institutional use.

Tulloch Castle (TI) Castle (GT) OS 6"map, (1938)

Tulloch Castle is supposed to have been built about 13th century. It was repaired 1513, and portions added 1675 and 1762. It stood ruinous after a fire about 1850, and was restored 1923.
Name Book 1876; N Macrae 1923.

Tulloch Castle is a modern house (built 1918-23) incorporating the remains of an early C16th tower in its SW angle. The basement only of tower appears to survive. The masonry has been harled but a number of lights and gun-loops are visible.

Ornate dormer pediment in garden of W dwelling at Mains of Tulloch (NH56SW 37) bears initials AD (Davidson of Tulloch from 1760) and may derive from Tulloch Castle.
