Full Description

NC00SW 3 0452 0429.

At NC 0452 0429 on a level terrace above shore is a probable hut circle. It consists of an almost complete inner circle, 6m diameter, of large stones set on edge backed by smaller stones and earth, with an entrance in S.
There is no trace of field walling contemporary with hut in area, although several natural terraces seem to have been cultivated.
Visited by OS (G H P) 29 May 1962.

A circular stone-walled hut measuring 5.5m in diameter within a wall varying between 0.9m and 1.4m thick, and showing a well-preserved inner face of contiguous stones on edge. The entrance in S is marked by a gap 1.7m wide. Two stones which project into the hut from the E side of the entrance are uncertainly original or due to mutilation.
(Detail shown but not named on OS 6" 1969).
Visited by OS (J M) 11 July 1974.
