Kylemackshallmag: Shown as a group of about six buildings on both banks of the burn with arable.
W Roy 1747.
The substantial remains of numerous buildings and enclosures, some of the former still standing to roof height, are evident within the area but none which could be associated with Roy's site.
Visited by OS (E G C) 28 May 1963.
A township comprising twenty-eight roofed and seven unroofed buildings is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Ross-shire 1881, sheet xiA). Eight roofed, three unroofed and the ruins of four other buildings are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1970).
