OS 6"map, (1963)
The remains of three enclosures and a hut-circle (D) found during field investigation on a south-facing slope.
'A' is a small circle, 5.2m in diameter, consisting of a stone wall about 1.6m wide by 0.3m high with a possible entrance in the SE.
'B' is a mutilated enclosure on the top of a sharp rise. It measures 16.2m N-S by 14.5m E-W and consists of a wall of turf and large stones 3.6m wide and 0.6m high with an entrance in the SE, 1.5m wide flanked on the south by a large upright stone 1.3m high.
'C' is a well-defined, though incomplete enclosure measuring about 12m NW-SE by 11m, slightly scooped into the slope on the NE. It consists of an earth and stone bank about 5.5m wide and 0.6m high with an entrance about 1.2m wide in the SE. A stone wall can be traced from a point about 50m north of the enclosure swinging round to within 30m of it on the west.
'D' is a hut-circle scooped into the slope on the NE and measuring about 8.3m NW-SE by 7.5m. It consists of a bank of earth and stone about 2m wide and 0.4m high with an entrance about 1m wide in the SE.
Visited by OS (W D J) 15 July 1961.
A settlement of four stone-walled hut circles so mutilated by ploughing and afforestation that details are no longer obtainable. No evidence of contemporary cultivation can be seen.
