Mound (NR) OS 6"map, (1962)

A probable cairn, overgrown with grass and heather, measuring 58' to 60' in diameter and 8' to 9' high.
RCAHMS 1911, visited 1909

A large, heather-covered mound as described by the RCAHM. A slight excavation in the lower NW side indicates that it is probably natural, although several stones protrude.
Visited by OS (W D J) 29 May 1961

A good number of undoubtedly natural mounds occur in the vicinity especially to the south, supporting the probability of the mound's natural origin.
Visited by OS (J B) 20 January 1976
