Full Description

NC86SW 18 839 608.

At NC 8397 6085 and NC 8393 6080 on a west-facing hillside are two poorly preserved hut circles (A and B). Associated cultivation is denoted in sporadic heaps and rickles of field clearance round about, but measureable plots are not discernible.
'A' against the foot of the slope and turf-covered, is obscure, but internal dimensions of 11m N-S and 9m transversely, are estimated; the entrance is no longer visible.
'B' heavily peat-covered is 11 by 10m internally; the wall is at best 0.3m high with a main spread of 2m increasing to 3m in clubbed S side of entrance in SSW on the line of the longer axis.
Some large facing stones are visible in hut exterior at entrance.
Surveyed at 1/10,000.Visited by OS (JM) 21 June 1977
