Full Description
NC86SW 17 829 601.
On undulating moorland on either side of Uidh nan Con Luatha, is a settlement of three stone-walled hut circles (A-C). Huts A and B are almost contiguous and similar, each measuring 8.5m in diameter within an ill-defined wall 0.2m maximum height. The entrances of simple form are in the south arc. The ridge upon which the huts stand has been cultivated; the ground appears stone-free and two or three clearance heaps are visible. Hut C is the best preserved, measuring 11m NNW-SSE by 9.5m transversely, within a bracken covered wall spread to 2.5m wide and 0.4m high, in which one or two facing slabs are exposed.
The entrance of simple form is in the SSE arc. Some cleared ground and clearance heaps occur around the hut, but they appear to be of recent date.
Surveyed at 1/10,000. Visited by OS (NKB) 30 June 1977
