Full Description

NC94SW 6 9135 4193.
Situated adjacent to a burn and close to a hut circle (NC94SW 5), is a heather covered burnt mound. It has a splayed U shape and measures 7.5m NE-SW by 9.5m with max height of 0.8m. The open end in NE is unusual in facing away from the nearby burn. Erosion in the bank of the mound reveals a content of blackened earth, burnt stone and charcoal.
Surveyed at 1:10000. Visited by OS (J B) 9 May 1977.
