Full Description
Centred on NC 978 181, on a north-facing hill-slope is a settlement of three oval stone-walled hut circles (A-C) in association with a field system occupying four hectares and comprising an even density of stone clearance heaps, occasional lynchets and rickles of stone clearance, and also traces of field banks or walls. Cultivation plots are not discernible. The huts, in general reduced and peat-covered, have simple entrances from the E on the line of the longer axis; hut A differs structually in that it is substantially levelled into the slope. They vary from 6.0m by 5.0m to 10.5m diameter internally with the walls about 1.4m estimated breadth.
Surveyed at 1:10 560.
Visited by OS (J M) 14 July 1976.
