Full Description

"A green mote stood on the banks of River Loth, which the gentleman who now owns Lothbeg ordered to be dug up. There appeared a subterranean dwelling, surrounded on the outside with large flat stones, which seem to have made part of the wall; the rubbish was cleared away, and the stones left in the same situation as they were found." OSA 1793.

Local enquiries, during the course of field investigation, failed to reveal the whereabouts of the structure mentioned above.
