These stony mounds appear to be field clearance heaps. At NC 9220 1840 is a heather-covered hut circle with large stones in its bank. It is 8.0m diameter. The entrance could not be determined.
120m NE of it, are the merest remains of another hut, 8.0m diameter. The entrance is not apparent, the bank being only 0.1m maximum height in places. It is situated on a knoll a short distance SW of the Long Cairn (NC91NW 3).
Visited by OS (J L D) 31 May 1961.
The area has been ploughed and afforested within the last decade, and the huts are severely mutilated. No clearance heaps can be identified. Revised at 1/10,000.
