Pen and bothy: recorded in June 1994 during a comprehensive survey of Balmacara NTS estate. Full details are lodged with Dualchas, Skye and Lochalsh Museums Service.

A roofed building is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Ross-shire 1880, sheet cxvi), but it is not shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1973).
