The low turf-covered footings of a subrectangular building, lying on a small level area of well-drained ground at the W end of a low ridge, were recorded during a pre-afforestation survey by Headland Archaeology (NMRS MS 899/83, no.1). The building measures 5.5m from E to W by 2.5m and the W end is butted up against a rock face.
