Full Description

A possible crannog has been noted at this location. The crannog was identified from aerial photographs by Martin Wildgoose (RAF 1950s series??) as a stony circular area with a putative causeway extending to the west. The water level of the loch has since been raised with the construction of a dam, but the possible crannog remains should be visible at a short depth below the water surface. Exploration of the feature by diving is proposed for later this year (Wildgoose 2004).
