Full Description

The site of a probable ruined farmstead, not previously recorded, was visited during a pre-felling walkover survey at Broadshaw Wood by Headland Archaeology in 2001. It was found to consist of a large area (20m x 26m) of moss-covered rubble with some wall fragments, none surviving to more than two courses in height. It stood within an area of thinner tree cover. <1>
