Full Description

This township comprises fourteen roofed and four unroofed buildings as depicted on the 1st edition of the OS six-inch map (Sutherland 1878, sheet xxii). The site comprises twelve roofed and thirteen unroofed buildings as shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10,560 map (1962).

The township is noted on Roy's military map (1747-55) as a small township composed of five roofed structures surrounded by an area of cultivation. During a walkover survey in October 2008 it was noted that this township is mostly composed of ruined structures intermixed with several occupied early 20th-century single storey cottages in fair condition. <1>
