Full Description

A milestone, formed from grey granite, is located c.15m to the west of Beasdale Cottages. It is triangular in section and is not inscribed. Although not on the current OS map, it may be depicted in the ‘Popular’ Edition (1929) on which the figure ‘34½’ [miles to Fort William] appears next the cottages. <1>

A milestone is marked at this location on the 1st edition Ordnance Survey map. Distances to Arisaig Inn and Fort William are marked on the map. <2>
