Full Description

Sheepfold - Situated 800m NW of Scardroy Lodge on the north side of a track and in the edge of a commercial forest, this sheepfold was recorded by NOSAS in 2007 as part of the Scotland's Rural Past Project, is on a SW facing slope at an altitude of 233m.

408 Sheepfold - NH 20998 52208 Complex structure (see plan in report) on a NW-SE axis, with walls of dry stone construction which are largely intact and between 0.5 and 1.3m in height. The walls are well-made, thicker at the bottom, 1m in width, and tapering towards the top, 0.4m. Deciduous trees have been planted in the SE part, bracken covers the NW part. <1>
