Full Description
This much overgrown stone walled enclosure is located in birch woodland on the edge of a large marsh 400m SW of Loch Achilty and is probably a sheepfold. At NH 42306 55839, it lies on the NW side of the junction of two forest tracks. Only the N and W walls remain intact for some 15m in length enclosing a grassy hollow. The tumbled walls stand to a maximum of 0.8m high but are more typically 0.4m or less. There is an entrance at the NW corner and a pit adjacent, diameter 2.5m x 0.8m deep that have been a sheep dip. <1>
