Full Description
A double row of set stone footings across the shingle on the west side of Loch Hope, Durness, may be the remains of a wall or pier. The site was seen during a walkover survey by C Dagg in 2011 in advance of a proposed forestry planting scheme. The feature ran east-west across the shingle, crossed the outflow of a small stram but did not extend out into the loch or continue west above the shingle. It was clearly similar to Site 3 to the north (see MHG55759). <1>
