Full Description
A short section of rubble retaining wall on the west side of Loch Hope, Durness. The site was seen during a walkover survey by C Dagg in 2011 in advance of a proposed forestry planting scheme. This section was c.1.5m in length, 0.5m high and was aligned NNW-SSE on the north bank of the Allt an Lochain Duibhhaidh stream. Its function was unclear but it may have been associated with animal containment along the banks of the stream. <1>
