Full Description

A very degraded turf or stone bothy or shieling hut was noted in a walkover survey by West Coast Archaeology Services in 2011, prior to a proposed woodland planting scheme. The bothy or shieling hut measured 6m long E-W by 4m wide over walls that spread to 0.7m wide and survived up to 0.4m high. There was a possible entrance in the north east end and a low turf bank runs off the east corner for 5m. <1>
