Full Description
NH57NW 3 53 75.
Near lower end of Loch Morie is an artificial island measuring 30 ft by 21 ft roughly formed of stone and quite devoid of vegetation.
D MacDonald, A Polson and J Brown 1931.
No trace of this island was seen. Enquiries at Kildermorie Lodge proved negative.
Visited by OS (WDJ) 6 May 1963.
A stony islet, 50m from shore at SE end of Loch Morie, may be a crannog. However, attempts to visit it were foiled by poor weather conditions, although a causeway leads to within 30m of it.
Visited by RCAHMS (PJD) 15 November 1989
